Forum rules


The purpose of this forum is to be able to report dangerous bolts to the ASCA for replacement. The ASCA's goal is bad bolt replacement, not the addition of new bolts to existing routes. There is no guarantee that bolts reported here will be replaced.

-- The date you observed the bolt
-- Photos if possible
-- Be accurate with the location, include pitch number (if applicable) and bolt number or anchor

Just a comment on the overall condition of the anchors on all the routes @ Broads Fork: all of them seem to be large round-eye rusty glue ins. They don't look bad per say but are certainly placed in weird location, are well-spaced and rusty. This place could benefit from an anchor update with bolts/chains.
Most lead bolts seem solid but all of them are rusty. The hanger on bolt 3 (I think) on the 12b was tightened above the bolt instead of hanging naturally below (sorry for not being very clear). It puts a lot of torque on the bolt when you weight it and I wouldn't feel comfortable whipping on it.
