Salt Lake Climbers Alliance

The Salt Lake Climbers Alliance is sponsoring a mini-crag day project in Little Cottonwood Canyon on June 13 and looking for committed volunteers to join us. We will be running a sand blaster to clean up the graffiti at the Beer Can Cave Boulder and additional graffiti in the area, along with a trail maintenance project on the access trail that drops from the road to the Syringe Boulder and touch-up work on the new Egg Trail. Since this is a small project, we are asking all interested volunteers to sign up in advance.

A big thanks to everyone who joined the SLCA last Saturday in LCC (around 16 volunteers showed up). Also, thanks to the SLCA Board Members, Advisory Member, and Liaison who could make it and help out. Due to the weather we decided to reschedule the graffiti removal until early autumn. However, we did accomplish a lot of work including: major trail maintenance on the Syringe Access Trail, removing trash from the area, professional trail clearing/pruning on the Crescent Crack/Egg Access Trail, and started the construction of rock stairs on a steep grade on the upper Egg Trail.
