Please join us as the Executive Directors of both the SLCA and the WBA will kick things off with updates on current work, upcoming initiatives, and what’s ahead for our shared mountain community. Followed by a presentation from local, Wasatch crushers, Beth Lopez and Mali Noyes.
Guest Speaker: Beth Lopez
Beth Lopez is a Salt Lake City–based writer, ski mountaineer, and climber who brings a thoughtful, steady approach to big mountain goals. She’ll share her journey toward tackling bigger objectives in the Wasatch, Tetons, Andes, Alps, and beyond. As a professional mountain guide, avalanche safety instructor, and Arc’teryx athlete, she’s found inspiration and built confidence by relentlessly pursuing education and mentorship—and building community. Her story recounts the adventure of working toward big goals one step at a time and finding ways to build others up along the way.

Guest Speaker: Mali Noyes
Mali Noyes is a Utah-based professional skier and nurse who brings endurance, technical skill, and determination to big mountain adventures. In spring 2025, she skied all 93 lines in Andrew McLean’s The Chuting Gallery in just 47 days, setting a new speed record for completing the Wasatch’s iconic steep-skiing collection. Her project, Rapid Fire, offers a compelling look at ambitious goals, building confidence, and the community behind big days in the mountains.
