The SLCA is an advocacy and stewardship organization with the mission to engage as an advocate to protect outdoor climbing access and as a steward to maintain sustainable climbing resources in the Wasatch and surrounding regions. Your donation is instrumental in directly sustaining our mission.
Give from Your IRA
If you are age 73 or older, you may choose to support the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your Traditional IRA.
This option allows some donors to:
Meet their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
Reduce taxable income
Give what is meaningful to them to help protect climbing access and steward the places we love to climb
With a QCD, funds are sent directly from your IRA custodian to SLCA and are not included as taxable income.

Contact your IRA custodian (such as Fidelity, Schwab, or Vanguard)
Request a Qualified Charitable Distribution
Make the check payable to Salt Lake Climbers Alliance
To qualify, the gift must be sent directly from your IRA custodian to SLCA.
