Volunteer and Event: KAYA, The Gear Room, and SLCA Stewardship + Community Evenings

KAYA, The Gear Room, and the SLCA are coming together for two evenings of stewardship—and one evening of fun—in Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Join KAYA and the SLCA on May 13th and May 14th for two evenings of bouldering stewardship at the Alpenbock Loop area. We’ll be working together to help maintain and care for a place we all love and cherish.

Stewardship efforts will include:

  • Brushing back vegetation

  • Improving boulder landings

  • Basic trail maintenance

On Thursday, May 14th, after wrapping up work at Alpenbock, head over to the Gate Boulders for a relaxed evening of bouldering, grilled food, and community. We’ll also be showing the short film “The Story Behind Little Cottonwood Canyon with Mike Beck”, produced by KAYA and directed by Mike Call.

Bring your pad, an empty stomach, and a chair—we’ll see you out there.
