FIXED POINTS FILM TRAILER
a FILM BY DANTE KRONER & CAMP4 COLLECTIVE
Fixed Points is a 12.5 minute short film that provides a glimpse into some of the social and moral challenges the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance faces when rebolting routes. Most of us are aware of the incredible amounts of physical labor that goes into the rebolting process, however what does the other side look like? Fixed Points touches on the complexities of working with first ascensionists, navigating the climbing community, and emphasizes the importance of safe bolts.

Rock climbing and trail use are inherently dangerous. Public access is provided under Utah’s Recreational Use Statute (Utah Code § 57-14). By entering outdoor climbing areas, you voluntarily assume all risks, including injury or death, from hazards such as unmaintained trails, falling rock, failure of fixed climbing anchors, wildlife, and the actions of others. Conditions can change—use caution and obtain proper training.
