Anchors: SLCA to Maintain Fixed Anchors at Draper Red Rock

The Salt Lake Climbers Alliance is partnering with the City of Draper Parks and Recreation Department to maintain the fixed anchors at Draper Red Rock from October 12–15, 2026.

Red Rock is one of the Salt Lake Valley’s most accessible climbing areas. Its short approach, routes ranging from 5.5 to 5.11a, and access to many of the top anchors make it a popular place for families, newer outdoor climbers, and people building their skills. During this project, the SLCA crew will update lead bolts, climbing anchors, and bolts that provide access to the top anchors.

Please avoid climbing at Red Rock from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., October 12–15, while the crew is working. Falling rock, dropped tools, and other overhead hazards may be present.

Draper has made outdoor recreation and open space a priority, with more than 150 miles of trails and 5,000 acres of open space across the city.
