12th Annual SLCA Climbing Festival
Climb. Connect. Protect.
The SLCA’s 12th Annual Climbing Festival Returns to the Uintas
On Saturday, August 23rd, the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance is bringing climbers together for one of the biggest community events (and fundraisers) of the year: the 12th Annual SLCA Climbing Festival. Held at The Notch Pub—just outside Kamas, Utah, and right at the gateway to the Uinta Mountains—this daylong event blends climbing, clinics, gear demos, and mountain celebration into one unforgettable gathering.
The morning kicks off with coffee, breakfast, and a chance to connect with new partners before heading out to climb. For those looking to build skills, professional guides will lead clinics focused on technical skills, movement, and stewardship—all designed to support climbers of every level. Gear demos and local beta round out the morning before the real party starts back at The Notch.
From 6 to 10 PM, the festival transforms into a high-alpine celebration featuring live music, cold drinks, BBQ, vendor village, and an anchor installation demo. A fireside guest speaker will cap off the evening with stories that inspire both action and connection.
Don’t forget to check out the full schedule, info about camping, and how to make it a full weekend!
More than just a party, the SLCA Climbing Festival is a direct way to support local climbing access, conservation, and education efforts. All proceeds go back into the climbing community—and into protecting the crags we love.
Tickets are on sale now so don’t miss your chance to climb all day, chill into the evening, and give back to the places that give us so much.
