No Man’s Land Film Festival Recap – Thank You, Salt Lake!
On Sunday, March 8, 2026, the Salt Lake climbing community gathered at Momentum Millcreek for a special screening of the No Man’s Land Film Festival, a benefit event supporting the work of the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance SLCA. With over one hundred attendees filling the gym, the evening was a powerful reminder of how strong and supportive the Wasatch climbing community continues to be.
We are incredibly grateful to Momentum Millcreek for hosting the event and opening their space to the community. Momentum’s long-standing support of SLCA helps make gatherings like this possible and reflects their deep commitment to the health and future of climbing in Utah.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out to watch the films, connect with fellow climbers, and support the advocacy and stewardship work that keeps climbing areas in the Wasatch open and cared for.
The evening featured five inspiring films celebrating women in adventure, climbing, and mountain culture:
Fifty-Fifty — highlighting past-50 alpinists continuing to push limits
SAMA — a story of climbing through social barriers
Beauty in a Fall — a journey of resilience and self-discovery in the mountains
La Rubia — transitioning from big walls to sport climbing challenges
The Bride of Mont Blanc — honoring forgotten female explorers of the Alps
Doors opened at 7:00 PM, and by 7:30 PM the crowd had settled in—many on low concert chairs and crash pads—with snacks and dinners in hand for the two-hour film program. Closed captions were provided to help ensure the evening was accessible to all attendees.
Events like this directly support the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance’s work advocating for climbing access, maintaining fixed anchors, building and restoring trails, and stewarding climbing landscapes throughout the Wasatch.
Thank you again to Momentum and everyone who joined us for an evening of community, storytelling, and inspiration.
We look forward to seeing you at the next SLCA event.
