help us Rebolt Blue Walls and Forgotten Trails In American Fork
October 6 - 10, 2025
Rebolting HISTORY
Since its founding in 2002, the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance (SLCA) has been dedicated to bolt stewardship in American Fork Canyon. Over the years, SLCA has maintained more then 200 routes in American Fork, including rebolting many of the canyon’s classic climbs. Rebolting non-roadside crags in American Fork requires significant time, preparation, and labor, but this work is essential to keeping the climbing experience safe and sustainable.
OUR GOAL
The SLCA Anchor Maintenance Team will focus on replacing bolts at Blue Walls and Forgotten Trails. Our priority will be the most popular, high-traffic routes, along with routes where climbers have submitted anchor observations for.
When
The SLCA Anchor Crew will be rebolting in this area during the week of October 6, 2025.
THE OUTCOME
Professionally installed stainless steel glue-in bolts
Patched original holes if bolts are relocated
Durable, high-wear–resistant lower-offs
Worker safety as the top priority
Meticulous documentation of all work completed
A safer climbing experience without the worry of bad bolts
